1. Information Deadline Chaser accesses
When you install and use Deadline Chaser, the add-on can access:
- Spreadsheet content in files where you use the add-on, including column names, item names, due dates, statuses, and email addresses.
- Your Google account email address, used only to deliver a test reminder to you.
- Configuration choices such as mapped columns, reminder cadence, completed statuses, send hour, and spreadsheet timezone.
- Technical delivery records created by the add-on, including reminder type, recipient, source row, result, timestamp, and error details.
2. How information is used
Information is used only to provide Deadline Chaser's core functionality: evaluating deadlines, previewing due messages, sending requested reminders and escalations, linking recipients to the relevant spreadsheet row, preventing duplicate sends, and troubleshooting delivery failures.
Deadline Chaser does not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, or training general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
3. Where information is stored
Deadline Chaser does not copy spreadsheet content to an external developer-operated database. Configuration is stored using Google Apps Script User Properties. Stable row identifiers are stored in a hidden _Deadline Chaser ID column. Delivery history is stored in a hidden _Deadline Chaser Log sheet within the same spreadsheet.
4. Sharing and disclosure
Deadline information is shared only with the reminder or escalation recipients selected through the email columns in your spreadsheet. Google processes data as necessary to provide Sheets, Apps Script, and email delivery. Deadline Chaser does not sell personal data or share it with independent advertisers or data brokers.
Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law or to protect users and the service from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
5. Data retention and control
Your spreadsheet remains under your control. You can pause follow-ups from the sidebar, remove the add-on, revoke its Google account access, and delete the hidden ID column or log sheet. Configuration remains in Google Apps Script User Properties until removed or the associated Google data is deleted. For help removing configuration, contact support.
6. Security
Deadline Chaser relies on Google's authentication, authorization, Apps Script runtime, and encrypted service connections. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, but access is limited to the scopes required for the product's stated purpose.
7. Google API data
Deadline Chaser's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
8. Children
Deadline Chaser is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If a change materially expands how Google user data is used, additional consent will be requested where required.
